We did not build Meelio because we saw a market opportunity. We built it because a functional medicine practice was drowning in admin, and nothing on the market understood the workflow.

The story

Functional medicine runs on detail. Full patient histories, labs read against functional ranges, protocol-specific care plans, and meal plans that match clinical goals. All of it has to be documented, and most of it lands after hours.

Generic scribes only read the transcript. They miss the context that makes functional medicine work, and they leave the practitioner copying and pasting between the note, the care plan, and the EMR.

So we built the tool we needed. Meelio pulls the patient's full clinical context before the consultation, records the visit, and generates the note, care plan, and meal plan from your templates. Then it pushes everything back into your EMR. Record the consultation, get the clinical note in two minutes, and go home on time.

James is an integrative registered dietitian and co-founder of Married to Health, a functional and integrative practice in Newport Beach. He runs a 2,000-patient practice with a fraction of the admin headcount the industry expects.

He knows the workflow from the inside: the protocols, the lab review, the care plans, and the paperwork that piles up after every consultation. Meelio is built to the way his practice actually works, not the way software vendors imagine it.
